September 30th - Vet’s Shoot

This year, the weather didn’t cooperate, and we had to use the Rain Date.  Moving the date involves a lot of work – 60-70 volunteers to contact and reschedule, equipment and props, food, ice, guns, ammo, and the Vet’s themselves all moving from one date to another.

I’d like to share with you that we have a great group of people at our Club. Seeing the emails and texts go back and forth, phone calls made and returned to reschedule, one volunteer to another, made me appreciate the group that Bridget put together.

If you want to show a prospective member the best of our Club, invite them to the Vet’s Shoot.

Please thank Bridget and her many volunteers when you see them. They made the Vet’s Shoot “The Best Day of the Year at the Club”.

Saturday October 17th - Club Clean Up Day

8:00am -11:00am on All the Ranges

Rake, Mow, Chop, Reorganize, Haul and Stack – all describe the action going on!

On Club Clean Up Day, we get more done in 3 hours than any other time. It is a great way for new and old members to get together for a few hours and do some work to keep the club looking good.

We have projects on all the outside ranges, and we’ve got members in each area to lead the work. You can help on the archery range and stations, the outdoor range, the shotgun fields… We’re splitting wood, giving a fresh face to the fields and berms, moving clays.

You don’t need any specialized equipment- Bring some gloves, a rake and shovel, some loppers, weed whacker, or a leaf blower. Clean Up Day is a great time to meet a few of our new members or see a longtime friend.

All Ranges except the Indoor Range will remain closed until 12:00 noon to allow us to work safely and concentrate on the most important Club activity for that day.

Meet at the Main Club House at 8 am for an assignment!

Tuesday November 3rd

Please vote “NO” on Question #9 to rescind the CH.135 MA Gun Laws.

Sincerely,

Dan Paige, Sr.

President

         - H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Bass River Rod & Gun Club thrives with active member participation. Despite an expanding volunteer base, we face a common challenge - 80% of the work is done by 20% of our members. To realize our full potential, members' time, talents, and dues are essential.
